Jacqueline Coyle is particularly inspired by Eastern Christian Art using vibrant colours, exotic patterns, sequins and other sparkling embellishments.

I am influenced and inspired by Eastern depictions of Mary, such as those often seen in Asian cultures. I especially like the two-dimensional illustrative quality of medieval icons as well as the simple lines used by Giotto and his peers. As a trained calligrapher, I value detail and enjoy using gold, vibrant colour and intricate patterns in my work.
