Born in Lancashire in 1953, I attended Burnley College of Art to complete my A levels and an Art Foundation Degree, going on to Ripon College of Education to train as an Art teacher. After early
retirement I began to concentrate on my own artistic practise. Member's website
I specialise in the painting of still life, in both traditional and naïve styles.
As a committed Roman Catholic I also find the need to express my faith through my work. I am at present working on a long term project on the Stations of the Cross which is not only challenging but is
proving to be a meditative process.
I work from my studio at home in Cheshire and my paintings are exhibited in galleries around the country. In 2019 I was elected a member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts.
