Artist's Biography
As a clinical scientist and a self-taught artist, I have always been intrigued by the human mind and emotions. I have in the last few years seen my passion for art manifests itself in the painting of vibrant, realistic portraiture and compositions. My passion for painting is increasing, and I have been fortunate enough to have some of my work displayed in prominent public places as well as auctioned at charity fundraising events in the UK. My scientific background has shaped my work, which features detailed analysis and representation of the subject matter, along with a strong emphasis on the subtleties and range of emotional expressions. Inspired by classical works from the likes of Bouguereau, Caravaggio, Rembrandt and Sargent, I focus on capturing the soul and essence of my subjects, creating an intimate emotional connection between their character and the viewer.
