Maureen Byerley was born and educated in South Africa and gained a National Art Teachers’ Diploma in 1967.
After moving to Spain, then England in 1975, Maureen taught full time in an RC school in Slough, later becoming Head of Dept. I retired in 2000, continuing to work in all media including broken ceramic mosaic, clay modelling, decorative / commemorative recycled boxes in acrylic and oil painting doing courses in etching and creative fabric. I executed the central part of the Stations of the Cross with Sr. Mary Louise Winters, friend and member of the SCA and I have just completed two oil panels of angels for my local church.
